Weyermann- CARAFOAM

Weyermann® CARAFOAM® is a drum-roasted caramel malt made from two-row, German barley which is especially successful when used to aid in creating better foam improvement, improved head retention and a fuller body.  Suitable for all styles where these characteristics are desired.

• EBC: 3-5
• Lovibond: 1.7-2.4
• Usage: typically 5-10%; up to 40% for special formulations
• Moisture: 5.5-6.5%
• Extract% (dry basis): 78-81
• Soluble Nitrogen Ratio: N/A

Grain preparation

You’ll be prompted to select your grain preparation before checkout. Milled grains are packaged together. Separate packaging is available for unmilled grains only.

We use a spike mill with standard gap sizes of .05 to .06 for traditional false bottom setups and .03 to .04 for BIAB.
