Weyermann® CARAFA® Special Type 2 is a dark-roasted specialty malt made from high-quality spring barley. Where malt-based bitterness is not desired, Weyermann® CARAFA® Special Type 2 is a  perfect fit.  As the de-husked version of CARAFA®, it produces rich color, body, flavor and aroma with reduced harshness and roasted bitterness compared with conventional dark-roasted malts.

Grain preparation

You’ll be prompted to select your grain preparation before checkout. Milled grains are packaged together. Separate packaging is available for unmilled grains only.

For milled orders, we use a spike mill with standard gap sizes of .05-.06 for traditional false bottom setups and .03-.04 for Brew in a Bag (BIAB). If you have specific gap setting requests, please include them in your notes.
