Product Description

This classic German bittering hop was originally developed at Wye College through a cross of Brewer’s Gold and Canterbury Golding, with its release dating back to the 1940s. Over time, regional variants have emerged, including a closely related U.S.-grown Northern Brewer. Today, it is valued as a true dual-purpose hop, delivering smooth, well-balanced bitterness alongside a robust, woodsy aroma featuring notes of pine, herbs, and mint. With alpha acids typically ranging from 8% to 10%, it is well suited for bittering a wide range of ales and select lager styles.
