All tubing is sold by the running foot.

1/4" is used in beer lines that are 10-25' in length. It is also used as gas line when you want a really tight fit, particularly with homebrew quick disconnects. Soak 1/4" line in hot water before atttaching to larger 5/16" fittings. 1/2" Outer Diameter. 1/4" line provides .65 lbs of restriction per foot. Ideally pounds of resistance should equal pounds of applied pressure. 1/4" line holds 1/3 of an ounce per foot. Made from PVC.

3/16" is the best size for most beer lines under 9' in length. Ideally, 5' provides the correct restriction for serving beer in the 8-14 psi range. 3/16" line provides 2.2 lbs of restriction per foot. Ideally pounds of resistance should equal pounds of applied pressure. 3/16" line holds 1/6 of an ounce per foot. Made from PVC. 7/16" OD

3/8" is typically used in long draw systems and as an entry line to a draft box.
3/8" line provides .20 lbs of restriction per foot. Ideally pounds of resistance should equal pounds of applied pressure. 3/8" line holds 3/4 of an ounce per foot. Made from PVC.

5/16" is typically used for gas line applications. Also used for long draw beer lines over 25'. 5/16" line provides .40 lbs of restriction per foot. Ideally pounds of resistance should equal pounds of applied pressure. 5/16" line holds 1/2 of an ounce per foot. Made from PVC.
